When did getting 10K followers become a bench mark for being a social media guru?

As far as the facebook stuff goes, when used effectively,  I think it works really well for companies or web sites with &quot;brands&quot;.  Facebook is used differently than Twitter and *generally* users friend and fan people, products, and companies they know and/or love.  On twitter, it&#039;s much easier to get a large follower and tweet shortened URLs to any web sites.

The thing is the company with the brand and identity can be promoted easily on twitter as well.  

My thoughts anyway...</description>

		<description>Hi deakaz! I have seen cases where each channel performed in excess of the other.  It totally depended on the demo and execution in each case.  Knowing where your time is most effectively spent in something that needs to be defined early on in order to optimize your time - so kudos to you!!</description>
