Today was the first day of the eMarketing Summit by Innotech in Portland.

The two-day eMarketing Summit brings together marketers, business owners and internet professionals from throughout the Northwest.  Now in its fifth year, the eMarketing Summit, a Special Event @ InnoTech, focuses on the strategies and concepts of eMarketing while demonstrating the latest tools and techniques used by the Northwest’s top companies.

It was a really great first day too I might add! I met and chatted with some amazing people and of course have a bazillion take-aways.  Many of the highlights I’ll be posting about here of course.  But all in good time folks!

My first write-up is on the opening session and actually appears over on Kate Morris | Search Marketing with Attitude.  The blog post, entitled ‘Maximizing Customer Engagement‘, covers several strategies in achieving awareness, commitment and finally engagement from your audience.  The presenters for this session were James Rice and Mike Caplan both from Ascentium.
